The Thumbelina Million, a class III sprint over five furlongs, has attracted 13 runners. The race looks so tricky at first glance that at least five of them–Arabelle, Queen Credible, Lady Danehill, Free Speech and Minstrel Heights–appear to be very closely matched.
While there is a strong possibility that the duo of Arabelle (Suraj Narredu up) and Queen Credible (A Sandesh up) may corner most of the market money thanks to the fan following of their respective jockeys, the one who will actually represent value could be Minstrel Heights in the hands of PS Chouhan.
The Ramaswamy Trust-owned gelding’s last bad finish over six furlongs can be safely ignored as today he will be returning to his pet trip of five furlongs. I expect him to attempt a wire-to-wire bid successfully, and prevail in a close finish.
