WWE SmackDown Live saw a switch of hands in the WWE women’s title as well as a draw in the 10-man Battle Royal for a WWE title match at WrestleMania 33.

WWE SmackDown Live began with Generam Manager Daniel Bryan coming out to announce that WWE SmackDown Women’s champ Naomi would have to relinquish her title due to injury and miss WrestleMania, which she did. Bryan then announced a match between Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss to crown a new champ.

During the match Becky looked in control to lift her second title, but Alexa hit Becky in her throat when the referee was not looking and then pinned her to win her second SmackDown women’s championship.

Nikki Bella and Natalya faced each other in a falls-count-anywhere match where the two were seen brawling in the crowd, near the barricade where Nikki hit a roundhouse kick. As the fight moved backstage, Natalys pushed Nikki as the latter slammed into Maryse. Nikki then slammed Natalya’s face into a mirror. After Nikki had Natalya into a lock, Maryse came out and attacked Nikki with a pipe. Natalya then pinned Nikki Bella to win the match.

The battle royal main event for SmackDown to determine the number one contender for Bray Wyatt’s WWE championship at WrestleMania. Mojo Rawley was first eliminated. Dolph Ziggle then eliminated Kalisto. Apollo Crews, who is Kalisto’s friend, then eliminated Ziggler. After Crews was distracted by Ziggler, Baron Corbin eliminated him. The Miz attacked John Cena while imitating Daniel Bryan. John Cena then managed to eliminate him. Dean Ambrose then smoothly eliminated Baron Corbin, but he then hit Ambrose with End of Days on the floor. Miz entered the ring again and tossed out John Cena when the referees were busy. Luke Harper then eliminated Dean Ambrose. AJ Styles and Luke Harper were the last in the ring and fell out of the ring at the same time. SmackDown manager Daniel Bryan then stated that the number one contender would be determined next week.
